Cliff’s Background

Cliff became a part of the Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. Peoria, IL branch in August 2020, bringing a wealth of experience accumulated over 15 years of assisting small businesses, non-profits, and families with their financial requirements. Drawn to Edwards' client-centered business approach, Cliff found it to be precisely aligned with his vision for the long-term well-being of both current and future clients.

Prior to joining Benjamin F. Edwards & Co., Cliff served as an Investment Advisor Representative with ABG Retirement Plan Investment Services. His prior role was that of a wealth management financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he catered to individuals, non-profits, as well as small- and medium-sized businesses, addressing their asset management and retirement planning needs. Cliff's passion lies in ensuring his clients feel secure in their financial future and assisting them in achieving their goals.

Beyond the professional realm, Cliff finds joy in spending quality time at home with his wife Anne, who plays a crucial role as an oncology nurse at Illinois Cancer Care P.C. Together, they take pride in being the devoted dog parents to Marlin and Bonnie, whom they consider the two best dogs in the world.

Cliff’s Community Involvement

Cliff is actively engaged in supporting the diverse needs of the Central Illinois community through various nonprofits. His commitment extends to serving on the Board of Directors and committees for several of these organizations.

Within the Heart of Illinois United Way (HOIUW), Cliff contributes as a member of the Financial Audit Committee and participates in the grant review panel. He has previously chaired the HOIUW Solutions Council, specifically overseeing the Children and Youth, Health and Rehab, and Education issue areas.

In memory of his childhood friend and neighbor, Matt, who succumbed to leukemia in 2003, Cliff plays a pivotal role as a trustee of the Matthew Thomas Stevenson Scholarship trust. This trust, established by Matt's friends and family, has made impactful contributions, including providing over 40 computers to local Eagle Scouts and supporting organizations such as St. Jude, Family House, Children's Hospital, and Round Up River Ranch.

Annually, since 2011, Cliff and Anne combine their passion for community involvement and physical fitness by running from St. Louis to Peoria every August. This endeavor is dedicated to benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with Anne serving as the Run Coordinator, and Cliff holding the role of Treasurer for their Satellite Run.
